Where’s The Wholistic Web Design?

Wholisticwebdesign.ca has experienced several transitions in it’s time. Over the years, it has gone through two complete visual design overhauls. At times I’ve given it simple copy rewrites. Sometimes change meant refocusing my entire e-services menu.

Now, another shift is necessary, and this transition brings the most dramatic change of all: the closure of wholisticwebdesign.ca for good.

Let me tell you a quick story.

From 1997 to 2010, I was a website and graphic designer specializing in the wholistic field. My tagline was “Breathe life into your website.

It worked well. The clientele with whom I wished to work responded to it well, because I was more than just a web designer – I was a designer with soul.  I didn’t work for people, I worked with them. Together we were successful in creating a new work paradigm, bringing intuition and personal spirit into our work.

Because I had specialized in wholistic website design practices, discussions with my clients quite often went beyond website design. I was being hired as a consultant on mindful business practices and organizational strategies for doing business in a more sustainable way.

At the same time, in another branch of my business, I facilitated women’s sharing circles, supportive groups, and self care retreats.

Then life happened while I was making other plans. Health issues progressed, and I needed to close my design studio. Thinking it was only for a few months, I fully intended to bring my wholistic web design business back into full swing. But it was not to be. The closure ended up being a permanent thing.

It’s funny how we change and learn and grow over time. Sometimes growth actually means moving backward on purpose, coming back home, settling down into a more relaxed, practical, grounded way of being. That’s exactly what happened to me.

I haven’t designed websites for several years. And wholistic just isn’t my brand anymore. It’s time to say goodbye to all of that stuff and welcome in some new. It’s with a bit of sadness and a lot of inner peace that I am offering wholisticwebdesign.ca and .com for sale.

From my heart, I’d like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all who have touched my world in so many important ways over the years.

Warmth,

Renée
